Join us on Valentineās Day for our closing party of āthe House support itselfā in Brunswick
Help us celebrate our couples show with refreshments and a special Valentineās Day punch from 3:00-6:00p. Artist Hannah Elizabeth Bevens will join us during the reception for a performance called The Listening Wall. Then, starting at 6:00, weāll screen four artist features from the show: Abby Shahn and Fang at 6:00, Rachel Gloria Adams and Ryan Adams at 6:20, Dru Clobert and Nancy Andrews at 6:40, and the first live release of Matt Demers and Allisonā McKeenās double feature at 7:00.
The show will be open three more days following the reception: Thursday ā Sunday (2/15-2/18) from 10:00a ā 3:00p at Fort Hall Gallery in Fort Andross

Couples show āthe House support itself,āĀ put on by Lights Out Gallery at Katherine Bradfordās summer studio in the Fort Andross Mill in Brunswick, which has been dubbed (until summer anyway) the Fort Hall Gallery, was supposed to close on Valentineās Day. While there will still be an official āclosing partyā on the fitting holiday Wednesday, the show ā curated by artist Ian Trask, who also keeps a studio at the mill ā will remain up through Saturday.
Announcing our upcoming exhibit: āSilvering Toward Invisibleā at Speedwell Contemporary
Opening February 29th at Speedwell Contemporary, Silvering Toward Invisible gathers artists Peah Pauline Guilmoth, Paloma Kop, and Emily Nelligan, under and alongside phrase excerpted from poems by Kristen Case. These four togetherā Guilmothās uncanny photography, Kopās electronic seances, and Nelligan's gossamer studies of Cranberry Island, among the contemporary incantations of Caseās poetryā open a door to the depths around us.
Join us for the opening reception on Thursday, February 29th, from 5 - 8 pm. The exhibition will be on display until March 16th, culminating in a special poetry reading from 3 - 6p on the 16th.
